Today WLGAN submitted comments to the US Department of Education in opposition to a proposed rule. In the deceptive, “mirror image” and “opposite” communications used by this administration, the rule is entitled “Reimagining and Improving Student Education.”
While this rule may “reimagine” student education, far from improving student education, it would destroy opportunities to get an education in many women-dominated professions. For example, nursing, social work, teaching, and physical therapy -to name a few. These are also professions that are experiencing shortages – thereby actually endangering all of us- especially our health, education, and safety.
How is the Department of Education going to accomplish this? By “reclassifying” certain professions that require graduate degrees and limiting students’ ability to borrow funds to pay for the cost of these degrees.
- HERE ARE WLGAN’S strong and detailed Comments
- CALL TO ACTION: The comment period doesn’t close until Monday, March 2 at 11:59 ET – giving you an opportunity to submit your own comments to this proposed regulation. HERE’S a link to the site to submit comments.
Thank you for adding your voice to the weight of opposition to this ill-advised U.S. Department of Education proposed rule.
